Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC)
Twin District partners LVAC, Lancaster’s primary ambulance service for Advanced Life Support patient transportation, along with collaborative training and drilling.
Town of Lancaster Office of Emergency Management
Twin District works in conjunction with the Town of Lancaster Office of Emergency Management to protect the lives and property of citizens before a disaster strikes through preparedness, training and mitigation, and to reduce human suffering after a disaster strikes through prompt and effective coordination of the Town's response and recovery efforts utilizing the expertise and resources of federal, state, local agencies and voluntary relief organizations.
Heart Association
Twin District teaches American Heart Association Hands Only CPR in conjunction with the Town of Lancaster OEM, by utilizing a volunteer staff of 12 instructors and the recent purchase of a mobile CPR training trailer. This is done to accomplish our goal of offering training to citizens at the highest accessibility and lowest cost possible.
Lancaster Youth Bureau
Twin District hosts a Junior Fire Academy, in which youth participants learn how a fire truck and the equipment on them works, along with the type of equipment that fire fighters wear and how it protects them. This program shows and teaches a basic understanding of fire and how to control its effect to keep you safe.
There is a Emergency Medical Services (EMS) portion to train in basic First Aid including CPR, and what equipment is needed to assist friends and family.
Lastly, this is designed to show what to do to help family and friends during an emergency.
Along with hosting the Junior Fire Academy, Twin District also hosts many Youth Bureau events such as the annual Youth Bureau Hall of Fame, and sponsors the Youth Bureau by participating in events such as Trivia Nights.
